Your domain name is the address of your web site, for example www.YourCompany.com.
Domain names consist of a series of alphanumeric labels separated by periods. The domain name is an address of a computer network connection and that identifies the owner of the address.
The labels must follow the rules for ARPANET host names. They must start with a letter, end with a letter or digit, and have as interior characters only letters, digits, and hyphens. There are also some restrictions on the length. Domain names must be 63 characters or less.
